Dubuque Oktoberfest is very proud to announce that proceeds from this year's event will support the great kids, the dedicated staff and the the amazing programs of Camp Albrecht Acres.
Camp Ambrect Acres was created in 1975 to provide a unique environment for people with special needs and that it does. Operating exclusively on donations, fundraisers, camp fees and grants, admission is open to all regardless of ability to pay, disability, race, color, creed, sex, religion or political affiliation with a camper to counselor ratio of 3 to 1 and 1 to 1 when needed. Activities include nature study, crafts, fishing, swimming, cookouts, dances, awards ceremonies, camping in an authentic teepee, exploring the woods on almost 2 miles of nature trails, hay wagon rides, volleyball, and frisbee Golf on 40 acres. And we think you'll agree, that makes it a pretty special place.
